View Quixtar Videos

Coming soon to the Web is Quixtar's new zone of blogs, which will provide a chorus of voices talking about different topics related to the Quixtar business.  This will provide IBOs an opportunity to speak up and share their stories with a broader web-based audience.

Another opportunity IBOs now have is to view Quixtar videos at YouTube.  Quixtar PR is now sharing videos there and at Google Video.  For years people have been saying that the Internet makes information want to be free ... well, it looks like that's really beginning to happen with some of the new web applications.

New Quixtar Blogs ... sort of

So, there are a few new blogs in Quixtarland ... well, sort of.  Actually, Beth Dornan relaunched her blog, Inside Quixtar, and REAL Quixtar Blog was relaunched on a new server with a new look. 

These blogs and others in development will provide new opportunities for IBOs and other interested parties to share their opinions with the company.  I'm looking forward to all of the new dialog that will be happening through this initiative.  At Achievers, the feedback I heard was very positive to being more aggressive about telling our stories more broadly, including those of IBOs (which means IBOs have to share them!!).  Hope you're all doing well!

Quixtar Facts

Quixtar is launching a new version of QuixtarFacts.com this week to accompany the new "Facts About Quixtar" DVD available to IBOs.  These two resources help IBOs deal with some of the difficult questions they sometimes face when introducing others to the business.  Along with other online resources, like ThisBizNow.com, and Success From Home magazine, IBOs are armed with lots of information that can help them tell our opportunity story.

From Rich and Jay's Nutrilite days through the formation and growth of Amway to global expansion and the launch of Quixtar, the history alone is alot to remember.  Add to that the brand stories of Nutrilite, Artistry, NAO, eSpring, Atmosphere, XS, LOC, SA8, and so much more, and it becomes a formidable task.  Quixtar's communications become crucial in helping IBOs get the story out to their prospective IBOs and customers.

The opportunity has never been better here in the U.S. and Canada, and Quixtar's communications are helping IBOs get that message out to as many people as possible!

Apologies

I must apologize.  I've tried to blog here a couple times in the past few months but for some reason errors occurred and created posts never appeared.  Typically, when this happened I reported to Typepad the error but did not have opportunity to repost quickly.

Soon, however, I expect that I'll be doing something interesting with this space.  Something that creates MORE opportunities for MORE people to share their stories and comments about this opportunity.  Sound cool?  It will be.  More later!

An Opportunity for Young and Old

I just spent time reviewing some of the articles in the June issue of Success From Home -- all about Quixtar -- and was struck again that the Quixtar business has such strong appeal for people of all ages. 

Young people just getting started, with much of their lives ahead of them, seeking to build a business that will help them achieve all they want for themselves and for their families (often, even before they have a family).  Then there are the middle-aged, who are looking for something that will augment their income so they can afford a lifestyle otherwise not possible.  Often, people are disenchanted with their careers, unable to enjoy the lifestyle they're working so hard to achieve.  Even those moving on in years can find something in the Quixtar business opportunity: extra income, new friends, an opportunity to lead and mentor others. 

Last week I was in Toronto, interviewing various people for ThisBizNow.com.  One young man, a wide receiver for the Toronto Argonauts of the Canadian Football League, talked about how being in the business was helping him become a man and a leader on the field.  Another interviewee talked about how the skills and traits she learned in the Quixtar business helped her launch another business that gave her an outlet for her creativity.  A couple I spoke with shared how the Quixtar business allowed them to spend more time together and with their children.

Time and again I am so impressed with the people I've met in this business.  Sure, there are some who don't do it right.  I also know that Quixtar works hard to find out when that happens and do all it can to correct a situation.  That's because the company knows it needs to preserve the opportunity for all those yet to come, young or old, hoping to achieve their goals with a Quixtar business of their own.

The Voice of the IBO

One of the articles in the upcoming issue of Success from Home Magazine about Quixtar talks about the "voice" of the IBO with the company.  This voice is heard loud and clear hear at Quixtar, and the company tries its best to be responsive to the input it receives from IBOs. 

That input comes from the Independent Business Owners Association International (IBOAI) which is the trade organization for IBOs.   The IBOAI board met last week, which means the feedback obtained then is percolating throughout the company right now.  The roots of that organization go back nearly 50 years, when IBOs created an association led by a board that would work with Rich DeVos and Jay Van Andel, who established the corporation. 

Feedback on corporate initiatives also comes from Founders Council, a small group of the most successful IBOs in the world.  This group meets with company executives to hear about what's coming down the pipe and to add new ideas into the hopper. 

Alticor, Quixtar's parent company, also has a research group that conducts formal research with IBOs in North America and around the world, providing perspective on products, the opportunity, customer support, communications, and much more. 

And, of course, Quixtar's Sales group essentially is involved in an ongoing dialog with the field, providing information to the IBOs about how they're performing while receiving ideas about how the company can improve. 

Quixtar and its IBOs are truly involved in a symbiotic relationship.  Without IBOs, Quixtar does not have a channel to the marketplace.  Without the company, IBOs do not have the high-quality products, the Quixtar Independent Business Ownership Plan, or the web infrastructure and logistical support Quixtar provides.  The juncture where Quixtar and IBOs meet, however, is a beautiful place where opportunity thrives.

Success From Home

Several months ago, Quixtar launched ThisBizNow to provide IBOs and their prospects with good information about what the Quixtar business opportunity has to offer.  Since then, the company has added more to the site to enhance its value and provide new reasons to visit. The site features numerous business partners describing their Quixtar experience as well as IBOs sharing what attracted them to the opportunity in the first place and, more importantly, convinced them to stick with their businesses.

ThisBizNow has become a very useful tool for many IBOs who seek ways to present Quixtar and all it represents to their prospective IBOs.  IBOs share their own personal experiences, but often a new person needs to see someone they can identify with, and that's something ThisBizNow seeks to provide through its profiles, interviews and facts. 

IBOs will have another exciting opportunity to present the business with the upcoming June issue of Success From Home magazine, which hits newsstands on May 1.  The magazine will feature stories about the company, its products, its support for IBOs, and more.  There will be numerous profiles of IBOs, each with a unique perspective of how this business has helped them achieve their goals. 

The magazine will be available at places like Barnes & Noble and other newsstands, but IBOs will be able to obtain copies directly from Quixtar at a reduced price, since we're planning on purchasing a large quantity up front.  Also, Quixtar has arranged with the publisher of Success From Home to create special Spanish and Korean language versions of the magazine, which will come out about a month after the newsstand version.  Both of these issues will mostly track with the English version, but will include several additional stories unique to that subculture.  This is a great opportunity for the huge IBO populations in the U.S. and Canada who work primarily within these immigrant groups.

Here's another cool thing about the publication: each issue will include a DVD with a bunch of the ThisBizNow content on it.  How awesome is that!?!

More information will be provided to IBOs in the upcoming weeks and months, but it appears like this will be an incredible publication for IBOs to share with others.  Hope you're having a great day!  Spring is on the way!!

Each Day is a New Opportunity

In the Quixtar business, results are the sum total of little efforts made every day.  Who knows what might someday result from talking to a friend about the business?  Who knows what might become of a smile to someone you don't even know?

Today is a new opportunity to do things the way you want to, rather than the way it's always been done.  Today is a new opportunity to make a difference on someone else's life.  Today is a new opportunity to repair a relationship that has gone sour.  Today is a new opportunity to pause for a second and think about what matters.

Quixtar does offer a business opportunity to Independent Business Owners.  We can do a lot of things for IBOs, but we can't make an IBO's business work for them back here in the corporate offices.  That can only happen with an IBO decides to make the opportunity work for him or her by actually putting in the effort.  Every day.

Today's a new day.  A new opportunity.  What are you going to do?

The BEST Opportunity ... by the Numbers

Well, Quixtar announced sales this week and the numbers once again paint the picture -- Quixtar is a sales leader and THE best opportunity for IBOs in North America.

Quixtar had sales of more than billion dollars for the third straight year, and set a new record with Partner Store sales of $76 million.  I bet that Barnes & Noble and Circuit City loved that! Better than Quixtar's overall numbers, however, are IBOs' numbers.  They earned $345 million in bonuses and incentives this year.  Their six-year total with Quixtar now tops $1.7 billion.  Now THAT'S opportunity.

And the opportunity only gets better.  Quixtar launched a whole new line of cosmetics this year called NAO never accept ordinary.  Very cool.  Plus, they launched a new Air Purifier called Atmosphere. . . also very cool, especially if someone in your house has asthma or other respiratory issues.  And there are some really cool things yet to come . . .

The opportunity in 2006 only gets better.
